NCIS BACKGROUND SCREENING INFO 2010Posted Wednesday, February 3, 2010 by Lou Vasi If you had a screening by NCIS last year, all you have to do this year is write down your 16 digit number. You DO NOT need to sign on again. Screening will be done automatically. Any NEW coaches, managers or anyone working directly with the kids on a team needs to log on to the website and submit information for screening. There will be a cut off date this year. As last year we had people getting approval during tournaments which was unmanageable. The cut off date will be communicated once determined.
Letter from NCIS INSTRUCTIONS FOR BACKGROUND CHECKSPosted Monday, December 22, 2008 by Lou Vasi Dear Applicants: Lorain County Hot Stove Baseball is proud to announce a working partnership with National Center for Safety Initiatives through which we will engage in a comprehensive background screening program for our coaches and volunteers. Lorain County Hot Stove Baseball has taken important steps to ensure the highest level of safety within our programs. One of these steps is the implementation of a standardized approach to background screening for our coaches and volunteers. This includes a comprehensive background screening using the Center’s Check it Twice™ product and a simple “Red Light/Green Light” clearance report issued in accordance with the Recommended Guidelines® published by the National Council of Youth Sports. This is part of a national movement towards the standardization of safety programs for youth-serving organizations in this country. Lorain County Hot Stove Baseball has worked with National Center for Safety Initiatives to ensure that this process is convenient, secure and confidential. Simply go to http://www.ncsisafe.com and click on “Background Check Self Registration” on the left side of the webpage. Complete three easy steps: Step 1: Enter Self Registration Number: 12147239 for all Lorain County minus Medina 15782702 Step 2: Enter Your Information as Requested Step 3: Provide Legal Authorization and Certification “Red Light/Green Light” Results will be sent to Lorain County Hot Stove Baseball.
